Dropbox is a good thing. I use it to have a more natural connection with my mobile phone without the use of wires. But on the account if the school doesn't allow it,i'd advice to have a flash with you at all times so that you could take out your work easily.
The Library did a short period of opening the Library on a Saturday (It was around Dissertation time) but I think they might have stopped it due to not enough people using the services. You could suggest they do it again though, it was a useful thing to have.
Probably not, The only way I could think of which you might want to look into is getting a "Dropbox" account (which is free and works on all OS's).
