CAA One-A-Day: The Missing Scarf

What begins as The Gruffalo ends up somewhere completely unexpected and mordantly funny - Eoin Duffy's Oscar-nominated The Missing Scarf.  In design terms, this tells you everything about what an animated short doesn't need to be engaging... Just take a moment to consider the set and the characters, for example, and take another moment to consider all the ways in which the animation is kept bounding along in terms of visual storytelling.  That it has a great script and vocal performance by none other than George Takei is another component of its success.  Enjoy.
