FAO Everyone: A Few Things Happening Over The Next Few Days...

Dear all, there are a few things happening in and around the CAA suites this week of which we'd like you to be aware:

Wednesday 10th

Alan and I interviewing new applicants from 10am, and therefore the CAA office will be 'off-limits' for a period in the morning.  I will ensure the tablets and headphones are available in the base room for ease of access.  Please be aware that there might be applicants awaiting their interviews in the base room; be friendly, warm and welcoming, and make them feel at home.  We don't anticipate interviews going beyond 12 noon.

@ 2pm CAA Year 2 are having their Narrative crit in the baseroom.  Yr 1/Yr 3 students are welcome to continue working in the baseroom on the 8 machines on the right of the room, but you should be at your workstations by 2pm and be prepared to stay-put (we don't anticipate the crit running longer than 90mins).

Thursday 11th

Simon Holland is running a digital painting 'taster day' for 20+ prospective students in DM5 10am - 1pm.  DM5 will therefore be 'off-limits' for the morning, but will be free again for the afternoon until Campus closure.  Yr 1 students are asked to use the Blue Room and Red Room machines: our year two students are asked to ensure the Red Room is available to first years in recognition of their hand-in on Friday - and in a fit state!

It is also possible that I'll be doing a course talk in the baseroom in the morning for another set of prospective students, but I won't know until the day.  If so, I will require the 'presenting' computer, but otherwise, you can use the baseroom as per normal.

Friday 12th

It's Santa Hat Friday!

The first year crit is in Lecture Theatre 1 @ 10am.

The Tombola Of Dreams Prize Draw will take place after the crit in the CAA Baseroom - approx 5pm (fingers-crossed) - so start gathering early.  The baseroom will have a 'roaring log fire' and a festive feel!

Our annual festivities at Wetherspoons will kick-off after the Prize Draw.

Saturday 13th

The campus is open 10am - 2pm for Open Daybut the building will be open from 9am, so get in early and make the most of the facilities.

Please use your social networks to get this information 'out there' - many thanks!
